Raley's, Union Workers Agree To 11th Hour Negotiations
WEST SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Raley's and its union workers, who have been preparing for a strike, will meet again on Thursday in an attempt to reach a contract agreement.
Workers have been readying picket signs after the West Sacramento-based grocery chain said it was going to implement the compensation changes to its last and final offer.
A Raley's spokesman said the store agreed to a 48-hour extension to allow for more talks.
"The extension will end on Saturday at midnight and, if no agreement is reached, our last and final contract will be implemented at that time," store spokesman John Segale said.
Raley's and United Food and Commercial Workers are at odds over wage reductions and other issues.
