Rain Should Hold Off For Trick-Or-Treaters
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Sacramento area trick-or-treaters should stay dry tonight if they're off the streets by 8 p.m., according to CBS13 meteorologist Laura Skirde.
A line of showers is moving into the northern Sacramento Valley but isn't expected to hit the Sacramento area until around 9 or 10 p.m. Yuba City and Marysville area residents could see some light rain an hour or so earlier. Stockton and Modesto residents shouldn't see any rain until 10 or later.
It's going to be cool and breezy this Halloween night, though, with winds at 10-20 mph and temperatures in the 50s after sunset.
"This is not going to be a major snow event," Skirde said. "The system kind of falls apart in the Sierra."
The extended forecast calls for a 50 percent chance of rain Thursday morning and then patchy fog in the mornings and evenings with mostly sunny skies during the daytime Friday and into the weekend.
High temperatures will be in the low to mid-70s Friday and over the weekend. Overnight lows will drop to around 50.
