Rain Predicted To Revisit Calif. Christmas Night
LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Soggy California will get a chance to dry out over the next two days, but forecasters warn the rainfall reprieve is not expected to last.
The National Weather Service predicts clear, mostly sunny days for Friday and Christmas Day, with highs around 59 degrees, but says another storm will be moving through the state late Saturday.
Forecasters say rain will be light to moderate in Southern California, but in Northern California, the storm could dump as much as two inches in mountain areas and an inch in urban areas.
The storm will also bring gusty winds and heavy snowfall, which could create white-out conditions in the mountains late Saturday into Sunday.
The good news -- the storm is fast-moving and should be over by mid-Sunday morning.
