Raiders' Search For New Head Coach Narrows

ALAMEDA, Calif. (AP) — Philadelphia offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg is no longer in the running for the Oakland Raiders head coaching job.

A person with knowledge of the decision said Tuesday on condition of anonymity that Mornhinweg is not a candidate anymore. Mornhinweg interviewed with new general manager Reggie McKenzie last week.

ESPN first reported the story. The network also said the Raiders are negotiating with Denver defensive coordinator Dennis Allen to fill the job.

Chicago offensive coordinator Mike Tice was told Monday he would not be interviewed as scheduled.

McKenzie has been searching for a replacement for Hue Jackson, who was fired Jan. 10 after going 8-8 in his only season on the job.
