Police: Vandals Hit Woodland Schools 3 Times In 3 Days
WOODLAND (CBS13) – Police are investigating a string of vandalisms that have hit two Woodland schools over the past three days.
According to the Woodland Police Department, the first incident happened early Saturday morning. Officers were called to Whitehead Elementary School due to an alarm that went off. At the scene, officers and a school representative found that someone had used a rock to break the window of a classroom door.
The suspect was then able to get in and ransack the classroom, knocking over some desks and damaging some computers.
The next incident happened early Monday morning. Officers were called to Lee Middle School and found that someone had broken out the windows of the boys' and girls' physical education offices to get in. The offices were then ransacked.
Using video surveillance, officers found that three suspects – a female and two males – are believed to have carried out the vandalism.
Later Monday night, officers were once again called out to Whitehead Elementary School due to an alarm. Apparently, someone had ripped off the plywood covering the broken window of the already vandalized classroom.
Police say the suspects vandalized the classroom again, breaking three more windows and knocking over computers.
