Police: Suspect Killed After Opening Fire On Officers In Citrus Heights
CITRUS HEIGHTS (CBS13) — A man accused of opening fire on police officers was shot and killed on Monday.
Citrus Heights Police say they were called out to a domestic incident at an apartment complex on Greenback Lane.
At point the suspect, a 35-year-old white male, came down the steps with a gun. Four officers opened fire on the suspect.
Bogdan Pishtoy was there when it happened.
"I was at home and I just heard a bunch of shots," he said.
Cellphone video obtained by CBS13 from the scene captured the sounds of eight shots fired during the incident.
The officers involved have been placed on paid administrative leave while the investigation takes place.
