UPDATE: Missing Elementary School Girls Located In Placer County
NORTH HIGHLANDS (CBS13) -- Two elementary school girls who were reported missing from a North Highlands school Thursday morning were located several miles away in Placer County, according to police.
The Twin Rivers Police Department was searching for the two girls, who vanished from Hillsdale Elementary at about 10:35 a.m. after being told to go to a different classroom.
Twin Rivers spokesman Officer William Cho sent out notice at about 3 p.m. that the girls were located in Roseville. Cho said a woman spotted the girls walking down PFE Road and called Placer County Sheriff's Department. Deputies drove the girls back to the school at 6469 Guthrie Way. Cho didn't know how the girls got to Roseville.
Police had been searching the area neighborhood and parks and a CHP helicopter was being used in the search.
