Police Searching For Attempted Kidnapping Suspect
FAIR OAKS (CBS13) - Detectives are looking for a man they believe tried to kidnap a girl on March 2.
The incident happened between 10 a.m. and noon at La Vista Center School in the 4500 block of Road in Fair Oaks.
The girl says she was playing with several of her friends on the school campus. When she became separated from her friends, a man came up, grabbed her by the ankle and dragged her across the ground, according to Sacramento County Sheriff's Department spokesperson Sgt. Jason Ramos. The girl screamed causing the man to let go. He then got onto his bicycle and rode off.
The suspect is believed to be in his early 20s, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall with a thin build and black hair. He was wearing a black jacket or hooded sweatshirt and jeans during the attack.
A man was also in the area who may have witnessed the incident.
