Police: Man Stabbed In Head With Screwdriver

WOODLAND, Calif. (CBS13) -- A man was arrested Tuesday evening after allegedly stabbing a man in the head repeatedly with a screwdriver, authorities said.

The Woodland Police Department said officers found a wounded 30-year-old Yuba City resident on the 1200 block of Midway Drive just after 6:15 p.m. following reports from witnesses.

The victim, whose identity has not been released, was rushed to the UC Davis Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

The suspect fled the area before officers arrived.

Investigators detained 36-year-old Yuba City resident Harjiwan Singh for questioning and arrested him for attempted murder after detectives interviewed him. He is being held without bail.
