Police: Man Posed As Woman In Online Sex Ad Scam

IRVINE, Calif. (AP) — Police have arrested a 34-year-old Tustin man for posting an ad on Craigslist in which he allegedly posed as a woman to lure teenage boys into sexual encounters.

The Los Angeles Times reports that Irvine police arrested Sherwin Ngo on Friday.

Police Cmdr. Julia Engen says Ngo was arrested for investigation of a lewd act on one of the teenagers and an attempted lewd act on another.

He was taken into custody after the mother of a 15-year-old found explicit emails on her son's computer.

Police say Ngo was released on bail Saturday.

His phone number is unlisted and he could not immediately be reached.
