Police Make Million-Dollar Meth Bust In Tracy
TRACY, Calif. (CBS13) – Tracy police officers made one of the biggest methamphetamine busts in their department's history when they pulled over a pickup truck in Stanislaus County late last month.
The Tracy Police Department said officers found 91.75 pounds of methamphetamine hidden in the pickup truck being driven by 32-year-old Arturo Antonio Campa on Friday, July 22.
The drug discovery, with an estimated street value of just under $1 million, led to a search of Campa's home, where officers allegedly found two guns and $5,000 in cash, according to Sgt. Tony Sheneman..
"Over 91 pounds of methamphetamine being seized is a tremendous seizure," Sheneman said.
Campa could face life in prison if convicted on the drug charges.
