Police Make Arrest In Stockton Teen's Motel Death

STOCKTON (CBS13) – Stockton Police have arrested a suspect in the Tuesday morning stabbing death of a teen at a motel.

Police were called to a motel on N. El Dorado Street around 4 Tuesday morning after reports of an argument.

They found the body of a 19-year-old William Heard. Heard died from an apparent stab wound.

During their investigation, detectives identified 25-year-old Cordero Currington as a suspect.

Officers with the department's newly formed Community Response Team spent the day searching for Currington in the area of the motel. At 10:30 Tuesday night, Currington turned himself in to officers.

Currington was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail for homicide.
