Police: Machine Guns Found In Home Of Man Who Had Psychotic Breakdown, Fired Shots
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - San Francisco police say a report last week of a man having a psychotic breakdown and shooting a gun inside a home led to the man's arrest and the seizure of 57 firearms, including machine guns.
The San Francisco Police Department said Tuesday 63-year-old Jack Dane was arrested and booked into San Francisco County jail on shooting at an inhabited dwelling and other gun-related charges.
Responding officers talked to a witness who told them Dane was a having a psychotic breakdown and had a gun. As they left the home, the witness heard several gunshots from inside the residence.
During the investigation, police found 57 Firearms including, 17 semi-automatic rifles, including machine guns, and 40 handguns inside the home.
The department says the investigations open and asked anyone with information to contact police.
