Police: Kidnapped Woman Found Dead

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) -- Police say a woman who was kidnapped by a parolee has been found dead in a garage in a residential area of San Jose.

Police said Sunday that Paul Ray Castillo is the prime suspect in a violent crime spree that included the death of Cindy Nguyen, whose body was found Saturday morning. The San Jose Mercury News reports Nguyen worked as an office manager and hosted a radio show on a Vietnamese station.

A manhunt continued Sunday for Castillo, following a rampage Friday that included the shooting of a man at a gas station. The victim's name and condition were not released. He was expected to survive.

San Jose police spokesman Jose Garcia says they suspect Castillo killed 60-year-old Nguyen on Friday, after kidnapping her while carjacking her Lexus sedan.

Investigators say the 33-year-old Castillo, of San Jose, is armed and dangerous.
