Police: Fairfield Shooting Triggered By Financial Dispute
FAIRFIELD, Calif. (AP) -- Fairfield police say a shooting at a home over the weekend that left three people dead, including the gunman, stemmed from a financial dispute between one of the victims and her former boyfriend.
Police tell The Reporter of Vacaville that 37-year-old Jason Eisenberg shot and killed his ex-girlfriend, Brittany Quinn, and their roommate, 41-year-old Anthony Chambers, on Saturday before taking his own life with the gun.
The 27-year-old Quinn and Eisenberg apparently had a common-law marriage that ended two years ago. Police say the two were fighting over finances, and Quinn had served Eisenberg the day before the shooting with notice of a civil lawsuit she filed against him. Quinn claimed that Eisenberg owed her money.
According to police, that notice triggered Saturday's shooting. An unidentified 27-year-old man who also lived at the home was shot, but survived.
