Authorities Asking For Help To Identify Sacramento Bank Robber
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Sacramento police and the FBI are asking for the public's help to identify a man who could be responsible for multiple bank robberies in the Sacramento area.
On March 1 at 3:56 p.m. the man walked into the Bank of the West in the 1600 block of Response Road p.m. and demanded money from the teller, according to the Sacramento Police Department. He indicated that he had a gun, but never showed it to the teller. After receiving the cash, the suspect left the bank and rode off on a bicycle.
The robber is described as a white male adult in his 30s, approximately 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall, and weighing around 170 pounds. He has blue eyes. He also had blonde hair and a red goatee.
The man had tattoos on his arms and a tattoo with black ink on the back of his neck. He was wearing a black jacket, black baggy pants and a grey beanie with "LB" on the front. He wore a backpack bearing a spider web-type design.
Police say a similar robbery took place earlier on the same day. They did not reveal details of that incident, saying detectives are still following up.
