Police: 5 Woodland Gang Members Arrested After Attacking Man Outside 7-Eleven
WOODLAND (CBS13) - Police arrested five gang members early Wednesday morning for attacking a Woodland man at a 7-Eleven.
At around 12:50 a.m., Woodland police responded to reports of a fight at the 7-Eleven at 301 Cottonwood Street/
The victim reported that five to six Hispanic men approached him outside of the convenience store, asking for money. The group then reportedly attacked the man and stole various items. The man sustained non-life threatening injuries and later refused medical treatment.
Police don't think the victim is in a gang.
Officers found four suspects nearby who match the descriptions given by the victim. They arrested 21-year-old Christian Roa, 20-year-old Jose Jimenez-Munoz, 19-year-old Justin Gonzalez, and 21-year-old Anthony Ozuna.
A fifth suspect, 19-year-old Juan Fuentes, was forcibly taken into custody nearby after police received reports of a man repeatedly peeking out of bushes. He also matched the description given by the victim.
All five suspects were booked into Monroe Detention Center on felony charges of robbery and participation in a criminal street gang. Fuentes was also booked on an additional misdemeanor charge of resisting arrest.
