Plenty More Sunshine In Store For Sacramento Valley
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Phil may have seen his shadow in Punxsutawney, Pa., on Thursday morning, predicting six more weeks of winter, but Sacramento Valley residents will be seeing nothing but sunshine for the next several days.
Highs will be unseasonably warm in the region, flirting with 70 degrees in some areas of the valley. Winds were gusting Thursday morning but had died down to about 8 mph by the early afternoon and are not expected to be strong over the weekend.
In Sacramento, the weekend highs will be around 62 and the lows will drop into the 30s. Expect some patchy fog in the mornings before 10 a.m.
There is a chance of rain on the horizon. According to CBS13 meteorologist Laura Skirde, Tuesday could bring some light showers to the region, but the sun is expected to be right back out on Wednesday.
Even in Punxsutawney, Phil's prognosticating skills may be called in question. The forecast there calls for partly sunny skies the next five days.
