Five People Dead In Fiery SoCal Plane Crash
LONG BEACH, Calif. (AP) -- Authorities say a twin-engine plane has crashed and burned at Long Beach Airport killing five people.
Ian Gregor of the Federal Aviation Administration says the Beechcraft King Air was taking off for a trip to Salt Lake City when it went down at about 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.
The plane was engulfed in flames. Televised reports showed the plane's wings and half its fuselage sitting on a grass median between two runways. The tail was gone and there's a long skid mark across the grass.
