Placer County Man Sentenced To 28 Years To Life For Failing To Register As Sex Offender
ROSEVILLE (CBS13) – A man with a long criminal history could end up spending the rest of his life in prison under California Three Strikes law for failing to register as a sex offender.
Placer County Judge Mark Curry sentenced Leroy Dale Holsey to 28 years to life in prison.
Holsey's criminal past includes five felony convictions and five misdemeanor convictions, including wandering on to a Sacramento-area elementary school campus and molesting children.
Roseville Police arrested Holsey after they received a 911 call reporting that he was trying to block the path of girls on bicycles in an alley way, and that he was peeking into a neighbor's home.
Officers soon discovered his criminal past and his failure to register as a sex offender.
