PG&E Worker Killed In West Sacramento After Truck Slams Into Light Pole
WEST SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - A PG&E worker was killed Friday morning in West Sacramento when his truck slammed into a traffic pole.
At around 1:30 a.m., the bucket truck hit the pole in the southwest corner of the intersection of Southport Parkway and Washington Boulevard, totaling the vehicle and killing the driver.
He may have been doing storm preparations at the time.
Crews are working to remove the damaged light pole. A portion of the intersection remains closed to traffic, and will remain closed for the day, according to officials.
It's unknown what exactly caused the crash.
No one else was injured in the incident.
PG&E has not yet released the driver's name or the details of the crash.
