Crash Into PG&E Power Pole Leaves Hundreds In The Dark In West Sacramento

WEST SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — The latest on a large power outage in West Sacramento:

6:06 a.m. 

Authorities say a car that crashed into a PG&E power pole is what caused the outage that left more than 2,000 customers in the dark late Sunday night.

Several poles were damaged in the crash - and a power line fell over the car.

As of Monday morning, PG&E has restored power to all but 300 customers. Full restoration isn't expected until about 5 p.m., however.

11:23 p.m.

Over 2,000 people in West Sacramento are without power Sunday night due to a PG&E outage.

The cause of the outage is unknown at this time. PG&E is investigating and says the estimated time of restoration is approximately 2:15 p.m.

The affected area impacts 2,032 customers and stretches from just south of West Capitol Avenue and before Interstate 80 up towards Sacramento Avenue.
