Man sent to hospital in hit-and-run crash in Sacramento, suspect arrested
SACRAMENTO – Roads were reopened Friday morning in Sacramento after a hit-and-run crash sent one person to the hospital, police said.
The collision happened at 16th and V Street just after 1 a.m.
The victim, a 32-year-old man, was taken to the hospital with significant injuries, police said. He remains in critical condition.
Police said the driver took off and was arrested around 7 p.m. on Friday. They identified the suspect as 41-year-old Joe Johnson of Sacramento. Johnson was booked into jail for hit-and-run charges.
The Sacramento Police Major Collision Investigation Unit responded and investigated the crash.
