Passing Storm System Bringing Showers Into Region
Wet weather will return to Northern California after a couple of very dry weeks. Valley, foothill and mountain locations should expect rain showers on Monday afternoon.
Most areas will see light amounts of rain, but the foothills and mountain locations could see up to three-quarters of an inch of precipitation.
Some very high mountain snow is also possible with Monday's storm, but at elevations well over 8,000 feet. Not a lot of snow is expected with this system.
Tuesday will bring less rain and cloud cover with cool temperatures hovering in the mid to upper 70s.
Wednesday holds another chance for spotty showers as a smaller, weaker system zips through the region.
After that, temperatures will climb quickly, nearing 90 degrees by the end of the week.
Abundant sunshine will also return to Northern California by Thursday.
