Parent Attacked, Beaten At Elementary School

ROSEVILLE, Calif. (CBS13) -- Witnesses said three men beat another parent bloody while he was picking up his child at a Roseville elementary school.

Witnesses said the victim was picking up his child just after 2:00 p.m. at Crestmont Elementary School when the three subjects drove up in a pickup truck and launched the attack in front of dozens of children.

Teachers rushed the children into a nearby building and held the door closed as the assault took place outside, fearing that the altercation could spill into the classroom.

"It was a pretty brutal attack," said parent Heather Rose.

The suspects eventually fled the scene, but police had located them within hours. The alleged attackers are family members with the victim, investigators said.

School officials notified parents about the incident a few hours later.

Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. No arrests have been made and the suspects have not been identified.
