Pablo Sandoval Benched For 'Liking' Woman's Instagram
ESPN's Gordon Edes reported Pablo Sandoval was benched during a game for liking a woman's photo on Instagram. Apparently, he was using the bathroom in the middle of a game and whipped out his phone to scroll through his Instagram feed.
Sandoval confessed it was him who liked the photo and he took full responsibility. He met with his general manager, Ben Cherington, and manager John Farrell and apologized, avoiding any team-given fines.
The MLB created a social media policy in 2012, stating that social media may not be used in any fashion thirty minutes prior to a game or during the entirety of a game.
Maybe new commissioner Rob Manfred will fine or suspend Sandoval, but nothing has been sent down as of now.
