Sacramento Area Receives Much-Needed Rain
A very nice round of rain came across our area this morning. But just how much fell? Here are the rainfall totals so far today:

- Vacaville: .31"
- Sacramento: .35"
- Folsom: .43"
- Elk Grove: .44"
- Roseville: .47"
- Rancho Cordova: .47"
- Colfax: .50"
- Auburn: .60"
There are no totals yet for King Fire area, where it's still raining. Cooler air into our area means a chance of t-storms this afternoon.
A lake wind advisory is in effect for Tahoe through 8 p.m. for SW gusts up to 30 mph.

Rain fell much heavier to north of our area, with rainfall amounts in Shasta County overnight reaching one to two inches.
We'll see cooler temperatures on Friday and through the weekend in valley, but it looks like thunderstorm threat after today will be limited to the foothills and mountains this weekend.
Lassen National Park received eight inches of snow.
The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning until 6:15 p.m. Thursday.
