Oregon Family Reunited With Dog That Went Missing In Rocklin
ROCKLIN (CBS13) – A family from Oregon has been reunited with their dog that went missing in Rocklin nearly three weeks ago.
Rocklin Police say Carol and Shawn Morgan reported their dog Tucson missing on May 25. The couple had been visiting Rocklin from Oregon and had to abandon their search for Tucson and head home to go back to work.
But, the couple kept in close contact with police – and after a missing dog alert went out on social media, some scattered sightings started coming in. People reported seeing a dog in neighborhoods, parks and a golf course, but the dog was frightened and wouldn't let anyone near him.

Then on Monday, Rocklin resident Amy Parkko saw a dog on Highway 65 at the Interstate 80 overpass. The dog was running in and out of traffic, then jumped off the side off the overpass – falling to the ground many feet below. Parkko says she was able to get to the area where the dog landed. The dog was injured, but alive.
The dog was taken by Parkko to the Loomis Basin Vet Clinic. It has been identified as Tucson.
Carol and Shawn Morgan have since come back down from Oregon to pick up Tucson, who is expected to make a full recovery after his leap.
"Rocklin is an amazing town," the Morgans said in a statement. "I can't say enough great things about Amy for doing all she did to save him."
The Morgans dropped by the Rocklin Police Department Animal Control Unit Tuesday to deliver a thank you package for helping find Tucson.
