One Robbery Suspect Caught, Deputies Search For Another

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Sheriff's deputies are still searching for a second suspect accused of robbing a south Sacramento convenience store early Wednesday morning.

Deputies were alerted to the armed robbery by a silent alarm at a 7-11 store. Officers soon tracked down one of the suspects in the neighborhood of Country Park Drive and Gerber Road.

After going door-to-door with K-9 unites, officers found one of the suspects pretending to sleep in the back of a car.

The suspect, handcuffed and in muddy clothing, claimed his innocence as officers led him to a patrol car.

"They just beating me up over nothing," complained the suspect. "What did I do?"

Officers continue to search for a second suspect.
