One Killed, One Hurt In Shooting At South Sac Club

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) -- Investigators say at least 30 shots were fired in a gun fight that erupted at a South Sacramento nightclub early Sunday morning, leaving one man dead and anther hurt.

The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department responded to reports of shooting at the Warners Rendezvous Lounge on Governor's Circle at about 1:20 a.m., finding a man critically wounded by a bullet to the head and a large crowd of more than 100 people at the scene.

Paramedics rushed the victim to the hospital, where he later died. Another man transported himself to the hospital for treatment for non-life threatening gunshot wounds.

Deputies said several vehicles outside the nightclub were hit by bullets, and dozens of people were detained as potential witnesses. No arrests have been made and no suspect description is available.

Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward up to $1,000.
