One Dead In Highway 99 Collision At Elverta
RIO LINDA (CBS13) - A truck pulling a trailer collided violently with a passenger vehicle at the intersection of Highway 99 and Elverta Road on Tuesday afternoon, killing one driver.
The accident occurred at about 6:20 p.m. The pickup driver and a passenger were both taken away by ambulance. The trailer was carrying a cow and two calves. At least one of the animals was injured and might have to be put down, according to the CHP.
The driver of the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene.
