Nitroglycerine Found In UC Davis Apartment After Blast
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — Prosecutors have released details of the explosive materials they say were found after a chemistry researcher at the University of California, Davis was injured in an explosion in his apartment last month.
The Sacramento Bee reports that during a hearing Friday, Yolo County prosecutors said several common explosives were recovered in the apartment of David Snyder, including nitroglycerine.
The 32-year-old Snyder — who suffered hand injuries in the Jan. 18 blast at his campus apartment — is being held in lieu of $2 million bail on explosives charges in connection with the explosion.
Prosecutors have also added several firearms charges — including charges for weapons investigators say were recovered from the apartment — as well as what Yolo County prosecutors described as "multiple boxes of ammunition" found in the apartment.
Snyder has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
