Officials Investigating Several Suspicious Placer County Fires
SHERIDAN (CBS13) - Fire officials are looking into the cause of several small grass fires in Placer County Thursday morning.
A string of small grass fires sparked up in a popular camping area near Lincoln. Four different grass fires were reported on McCourtney Road near Riosa Road outside of Sheridan. This is near the south shore entrance to Camp Far West Lake.
Firefighters are on scene, making quick work of the fires. The four fires combined have burned almost two acres.
Investigators say the fires are suspicious.
