Officers Give Stockton Boy A Birthday To Remember
STOCKTON (CBS13) – He's a survivor of a rare genetic disorder and only just seven-years-old.
Saturday, the Stockton Police Department decided to help the boy's birthday be one to remember.
Ricky Buzo recently underwent a bone marrow transplant due Hurler syndrome. Ricky's mother called the department to invite officers over for his birthday because the boy has always liked police.
It being a holiday weekend, officers jumped at the chance to celebrate with Ricky.
"This party could not have happened on a better day because we are still in the middle of the Thanksgiving Holiday and this allowed our officers to give back to the very community we serve," Stockton Police wrote on Facebook.
More than a dozen officers showed up to Ricky's birthday party.
