Oak Park Coca-Cola Bottling Plant Closes After Nearly 80 Years
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - The 77-year-old Coca-Cola bottling plant in south Sacramento closed Friday.
The company bought the Oak Park plant on Stockton Boulevard at the beginning of the year and said the plant was not producing enough. It was announced in March that the plant would close.
Around 40 workers are expected to lose their jobs, but some may be hired on at Coca-Cola's Natomas facility.
Workers at the Natomas plant are not expected to be impacted by the Oak Park plant closure.
