The scene is near North Avenue and Clay Street.
Sacramento police confirmed that two people were killed in a drive-by shooting just after 10 p.m. Police also said they believe the two were targeted. A homicide investigation is now underway in the area.
Neighbors in the area said they saw what looked like a white truck speeding away just after the shooting. As of Friday morning, Sacramento Police Department detectives took 34-year-old suspect, Durbin Paguadavasquez, into custody. He has since been booked at the Sacramento County Main Jail on homicide charges.
