Suspect Dies After Fatal Officer-Involved Shooting In North Highlands
NORTH HIGHLANDS, Calif. (CBS13) – Two schools in North Highlands were briefly locked down after a fatal officer-involved shooting Thursday afternoon.
Twin Rivers School District police say an officer observed two suspicious subject at Strizek Park in the area of Stephen and Channing drives around 11:00 a.m. A foot pursuit began and shots were fired. One person died and another person arrested.
Joyce Elementary School and Futures High School were on a precautionary lockdown.
