Crews stop backyard fire from spreading to homes in North Highlands
NORTH HIGHLANDS – Firefighters worked quickly to stop a fire from spreading to several homes in North Highlands early Wednesday morning.
Metro Fire of Sacramento crews responded to the scene on Medina Way just before 2 a.m.
The fire was burning the backyard of one residence, but several other homes were threatened.
Crews jumped into action and were able to quickly isolate the flames. Several vehicles and a boat were damaged, however.
Everyone inside the residence had evacuated safely, firefighters say. No injuries have been reported.
Exactly what started the fire is under investigation.
