No More Snow As Cold Temps Continue
After a great snow storm that smacked the Sierra, the cold air is back with a vengeance in the valley.
The ski resorts are happier than a pig in mud after more than 2 feet of snow pasted their slopes.
Other spots in the foothills, such as Pollock Pines and Nevada City, picked up anywhere from 6 to 8 inches of snow Friday night!
We even had flurries as low as 100 feet in communities like Rocklin and Roseville.
Though downtown Sacramento didn't see snow, it did get quite a bit of rain last night, with almost half an inch.
The snow will wind down in the Sierra late Saturday night, making way for sunny skies on Sunday.
With clear skies and cold air in place, many valley locations will fall to the mid 20s tonight.
Daytime highs Sunday won't be much better as we struggle to get out of the mid 40s in Sacramento.
The stubborn cold air eventually will leave by the time we get into the middle of the week.
Highs will climb back into the mid to upper 50s with a chance of rain by Friday.
