New Restaurants, Updated Lounge Coming To Terminal A At SMF
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Terminal A at Sacramento International Airport is getting a facelift.
Three new restaurants – Paesanos, the Squeeze Inn and Iron Horse Tavern – will be setting up shop at the terminal this year, airport officials say. Renderings released Wednesday morning preview the changes, which includes a modernized lounging area.
Much like Terminal B, the new restaurants at Terminal A are Sacramento-area favorites.
Both Paesanos and the Squeeze Inn will be opening by summer, officials say. Iron Horse Tavern's bar will be opening by summer as well, but the restaurant won't be available until fall.
"We're thrilled to be able to offer our passengers the same type of experience in Terminal A that they enjoy in Terminal B, complete with one-of-a-kind restaurants that give passengers a sense of place," said John Wheat, Director of Airports for the Sacramento County Dept. of Airports, in a release.

Some of new tables and chairs will even be equipped with power outlets and USB ports for easy charging of your devices.
Construction work will begin within a week, officials say.
Only one existing shop, Jet Box Market, will be closing due to the remodel. All the other existing shops and restaurants are expected to be open during the remodel.
