New Fulfillment Center In Sacramento Will Bring 1,000 New Jobs, Amazon Says
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - A new Amazon fulfillment center is being planned for Sacramento.
The facility - which will be more than 855,000 square feet - will create more than 1,000 full-time jobs, Amazon says.
Workers at the center will pick, pack and ship the smaller items Amazon sells, including books, toys and electronics.
"We have seen Amazon be a positive influence elsewhere in the state, and we are pleased that Amazon has chosen to invest in this region as well," said Roberta MacGlashan, Chair of the Sacramento County Board of Supervisors, in a release.
