Neighbors Save Elderly Woman From Burning Natomas Home
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Quick-thinking neighbors say they saved an elderly woman with no idea her Natomas home was on fire Saturday afternoon.
Around 2 p.m., firefighters say, the fast-moving fire spread from the garage to the inside of the home in the 3400 block of Beretania Way.
"The neighbors came and knocked on the door. My understanding, there was a lady inside the residence. We were able to get her out without any harm," said Battalion Chief Richard Payan.
Neighbors say this is the second garage fire to occur in the neighborhood in the past month.
However, firefighters couldn't say if that fire is related to Saturday's blaze, and say they're still looking into the cause.
