NCAA Tournament Sunday Round of 32 Schedule
Bryan Altman, CBS Local Sports
Yesterday was a great day for the favorites (unless you're from Kentucky or Utah, of course) as six of eight higher-seeded teams advanced to the Sweet 16 yesterday. Today we continue to whittle down the number of total teams until we get to that magical Sweet 16 number for next weekend's slate of games.
Here's what we have to look forward to today as Day 4 of March Madness gets underway.
Note: All times listed below are ET.
No. 7 Iowa vs. No. 2 Villanova - Barclays Center (Brooklyn, NY) 12:10 p.m. (CBS)
No. 14 SF Austin vs. No. 6 Notre Dame - Barclays Center (Brooklyn, NY) 2:40 p.m. (CBS)
No. 10 VCU vs. No. 2 Oklahoma Chesapeake Energy Arena (Okla. City, OK) 5:15 p.m. (CBS)
No. 15 Middle Tenn. vs. No. 10 Syracuse Scottrade Center (St. Louis, MO) 6:10 p.m. (TNT)
Note: If you picked this Round of 32 matchup correctly, you should either give yourself a big pat on the back, or, more likely, you should seek psychiatric help, because you're nuts.
No. 13 Hawaii vs. No. 5 Maryland Spokane Memorial Arena (Spokane, WA) 7:10 p.m. (TBS)
No. 11 N. Iowa vs. No. 3 Texas A&M Chesapeake Energy Arena (Okla. City, OK) 7:40 p.m. (truTV)
No. 7 Wisconsin vs. No. 2 Xavier Scottrade Center (St. Louis, MO) 8:40 p.m. (TNT)
No. 8 Saint Joe's vs. No. 1 Oregon Spokane Memorial Arena (Spokane, WA) 9:40 p.m. (TBS)
As per usual, a lot to look forward to this afternoon and evening. Can Oregon become the fourth No. 1 seed to find their way into the Sweet 16? Can low-seeded squads like Hawaii, Northern Iowa, SF Austin and of course, the legendary Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders, continue their improbable runs and make the Sweet 16? One thing's for sure, it's going to be a blast finding out the answers to all of these questions.
Bryan Altman is, for some reason, an unabashed fan of the Rangers, Jets and Mets. If he absolutely had to pick a basketball team it would be the Knicks, but he’d gladly trade them for just one championship for any of his other three teams.
