Kids Slightly Injured When School Bus Collides With Sedan In El Dorado County
SHINGLE SPRINGS (CBS13) – Several people suffered minor to moderate injuries after a sedan collided with a school bus in Shingle Springs.
The crash happened just after 8 a.m. on Latrobe Road near Sun Ridge Meadow Road. Officials at the scene say a sedan was speeding southbound on Latrobe Road when it tried to pass a vehicle and hit the bus approaching in the northbound lane.
The driver of the sedan suffered moderate injuries and was flown by helicopter to an area hospital.
Three children were on the bus. All suffered minor injuries and were taken to the hospital as a precaution. The driver of the bus was not injured.
The children were headed to Guiding Hands School, a non-public school in El Dorado Hills.
