Multiple Agencies Battle Fire Near Railroad Bridge In Lathrop
LATHROP (CBS13) – Firefighters from multiple agencies are battling a fire near the Mossdale Bridge in Lathrop.
Crews were called to the scene just before 9 a.m. The Lathrop-Manteca Fire District says a grass fire spread to a train trestle near the Mossdale boat launch.
Crews from Manteca and Tracy are helping in the firefight.
Union Pacific brought in water tanks to help with the firefight.
Crews managed to knock down the flames by just after 11:30 a.m. Firefighters are still out dealing with hot spots and "hot trees" that they are concerned about.
