More Fireworks At Sacramento City Council Meeting?

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) -- An activist living in Sacramento is demanding an apology from the city's vice mayor after the official was caught on a live microphone using an expletive after their heated exchange last week.

During Last Tuesday's City Council meeting Vice Mayor Bonnie Pannell appeared frustrated after a long and spirited discussion on their controversial redistricting decision. And sitting in the audience, Margo Rose-Brunson became frustrated with Pannell.

"We were going at it one on one," Rose-Brunson said. "And I shouted out. I did. I was frustrated.

Pannell and Rose-Brunson then locked horns.

"And if you guys don't like the changes I've made, I'm going to be on the ballot in 2012," Pannell said.

"I shouted out, "We'll be there!" Rose-Brunson responded

"I'll see you there," Pannell answered.

"And I said, "You bet!" Rose-Brunson said

Pannell had the last word when she softly uttered an expletive, but her mic was still on when she muttered "a**hole."

"That's how it ended, her calling me an a**hole."

Pannell later released a statement to the community as a whole apologizing for her behavior but no apology to Rose-Brunson.

"It doesn't fly with me. I think it's insulting."

Rose-Brunson said she didn't hear the expletive until her husband replayed at home on their DVR.

This Tuesday night Rose-Brunson said she will ask the mayor to referee.

"I'm going to make an appearance and I'm going to ask that Kevin Johnson demand that she apologizes to me," she said. "This wasn't the community yelling at her. It was between me and her."
