Modesto Man To Learn If He Faces Death Penalty For Murder Of 6
MODESTO (CBS13) – A Modesto man could learn on Monday if he faces the death penalty in the murders of six people.
Martin Martinez is charged with murder in the July 2015 deaths of his mother, a five-year-old niece, his girlfriend Amanda Crews, her six-year-old daughter and his own six-month old daughter with Crews.
In a separate case, the 31-year-old Martinez is also charged with murdering Crews's two-year-old son back in October 2014.
A pretrial hearing is scheduled for Monday where prosecutors are expected to combine both cases and to seek the death penalty.
