Modesto Man Gets Probation For Defacing Banksy Murals In Utah
PARK CITY, Utah (AP) - A California man has been sentenced to five years' probation for defacing two murals in Park City, Utah, that are believed to have been created by the elusive British graffiti artist Banksy.
David William Noll, of Modesto, already paid about $9,000 in restitution before Monday's sentencing.

Prosecutors say they expect he'll end up paying about $12,000 to cover the cost of restoring the murals.
Noll pleaded guilty in September to damaging the works on Park City's historic main street while he was visiting last New Year's Eve.
He struck a deal with prosecutors to avoid jail time by paying the restoration costs.
The murals appeared in 2010, when a documentary by Banksy debuted at the Sundance Film Festival.
Banksy's silhouetted figures and spray-painted messages have sold for as much as $1.1 million at auction.
