Modesto Man Claims To Be #1 Niners Fan
MODESTO (CBS13) - There's no shortage of 49ers faithfuls in our area. A family in Modesto has decorated their living room from top to bottom with red and gold.
There's no need to go to Candlestick Park. It feels like a stadium in one Modesto apartment. William Davis has been collecting memorabilia for years and says every time he looks in the mirror, he sees the world's biggest Niners fan.
"I have to be the number one fan man," said Davis.
Davis has the living room to back up his claim. From jerseys, footballs, calendars, and more, he's got it all. And it's all 49ers stuff.
"Considering all the stuff we have and collected over the years, I think that's this is the ultimate right here," said Davis.
Meet Dina Genetiano.
"I'm a fan too!" said Genetiano.
She's the woman behind the self-proclaimed world's biggest Niners fan, and the one who allows her living room to be covered in everything Niners. She says she'd only change one thing.
"Sometimes with the yelling, because we have neighbors. Other than that, it's great because I enjoy the game as well," said Davis.
To make this Niners family complete, even their daughter Alex wears her own 49ers jersey.
"Niners number one," said Alex.
Davis says he can't stop thinking about Sunday's game against the Giants. His dream would be to go, but ticket prices are so high he'll probably watch it from home. Still, it's not bad when your apartment looks like Davis'.
"We got two more games to go. We need to get this one on Sunday, and everything will be alright," said Davis.
Davis understands and hopes he has to do some redecorating in here. It says number 5, for five-time Super Bowl champs. He's sure that it'll soon say six!
