Modesto Home Suffers Heavy Fire Damage

MODESTO (CBS13) - Over $100,000 in fire damage was caused to a Modesto home overnight.

At 2:47 a.m., Firefighters from the Modesto Regional Fire Authority were called out to the home on 1306 Randy Avenue after multiple people called 911, according to Division Chief Sean Salmon.
Firefighters brought the fire under control at 3:05 a.m.

Two people were inside the home when the fire started and were able to get out safely. They were both evaluated by paramedics. Salmon did not say if either of the two was injured.

The home sustained heavy damage to the front doorway, a bedroom and the attic. Damage to the structure is estimated at $100,000. About $50,000 worth of contents were also destroyed.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
